On April 4, the delegation of Embassy of Viet Nam in Sweden led by Ambassador Tran Van Tuan visited former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President, former Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Khamtay Siphandone at the Lao Embassy in Stockholm.

Writing in the condolence book, Ambassador Tran Van Tuan sent his deepest condolences to the Lao Embassy in Sweden, emphasizing that the passing of comrade Khamtay Siphandone is a great loss to the Lao Party, State and people as well as to the Viet Nam - Laos friendship.

The Ambassador hoped that the Lao Party, State and people will soon overcome this great loss, continue to successfully build a peaceful, independent, democratic, unified and prosperous Laos according to the socialist goal, and continuously foster the special solidarity relationship between Viet Nam and Laos to develop further.

On the same day, the Embassy of Viet Nam in Sweden flew the flag at half-staff and held a two-day national mourning on April 4-5 to express condolences to comrade Khamtay Siphandone./.
