On March 20, Ambassador Tran Van Tuan had a meeting with representatives of a Vietnamese company specializing in exporting labor to Sweden and Swedish enterprise employing Vietnamese workers to promote cooperation in supplying Vietnamese labor to Sweden.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Quinn Hanoi Investment Company said that they are studying the possibility of sending Vietnamese labors to work in Sweden in the fields of: livestock and poultry meat processing, restaurant staff, construction workers, welders, electricians, plumbers, etc., At present, they are planning to send about 30 Vietnamese workers to work in food processing in Sweden this year.

A representative of Linnea & Basilika Company, owning a chain of Asian restaurants in Sweden, said that the company's demand for human resources from Viet Nam is quite large, but is facing some obstacles related to recruiting foreign workers to Sweden. However, Linnea & Basilika hopes to cooperate with Quinn Hanoi Investment to find a solution to this problem in the near future.

Emphasizing that strengthening cooperation in labor supply is an important part of economic and trade cooperation between Viet Nam and Sweden, Ambassador Tran Van Tuan encouraged companies from both countries to proactively discuss and reach agreements on labor import and export, based on careful research on the specific situation, laws and regulations of each country. The Embassy of Viet Nam will always accompany and support businesses to overcome difficulties in this field.

Previously, on March 18-19, representatives of the Embassy of Viet Nam also supported Quinn Hanoi Investment to work with Uppsala University and Karlstad University to explore the possibility of attracting Vietnamese students to study at these universities. Representatives of the universities said that they always have a need to attract international students to study and have a number of policies to support international students, including facilitating students to find jobs in Sweden after graduation (like Karlstad University); however, they admitted that the promotion of information about the Swedish education system in Viet Nam is still weak, and they hope to have support from Vietnamese partners./.
