From January 29 to February 1, 2025, Ambassador Tran Van Tuan and the delegation of the Embassy of Viet Nam in Sweden paid a working visit to the Republic of Latvia (concurrently in charge).
During the visit, Ambassador Tran Van Tuan and Spouse Phi Thu Hang participated in the New Year's Reception hosted by President Edgars Rinkevics and Foreign Minister Baiba Braze and attended the Foreign Policy Discussion organized by the Latvian Parliament (Saeima).
The delegation also had meetings with the leaders of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Art Museum RIGA BOURSE to discuss the possibility of promoting cooperation between Viet Nam and Latvia in the fields of economics - trade and culture - arts, especially supporting the Latvian business delegation to explore business and investment opportunities in Viet Nam in 2025, organizing Viet Nam - Latvia business seminars as well as the Viet Nam Culture - Trade - Food Festival in Latvia in the coming time.
Also during the working trip, the delegation met with a number of representatives of the Vietnamese community and businesses in Latvia to learn about their lives, encourage the Vietnamese community to make efforts to stabilize their lives, strengthen solidarity, develop their economy, preserve and promote Vietnamese culture, build and develop community associations, actively contributing to the development of Viet Nam - Latvia relations./.
